Automatic SLA Charger

Our standard design utilized a COLD production setting of 14.0 VDC. However, this setting typically results in a 14.7-15.0 PEAK before settling to 14.4 VDC where the voltage remains. We deliberately push the battery voltage higher than the float setting to insure the battery obtains full capacity. Note that PEAK voltage varies depending upon Ah rating and charge rate. Once the battery voltage peaks, the charge current falls to a pulsing mode and the corresponding battery voltage drops. (The pulsing is not evident in the charge current graph, but the LED gives a visual indication in conjunction with the pulsing.)
