Design Considerations

As with most batteries, the manufacturers of sealed lead acid batteries warn against continuous overcharge. Designers should also consider the following:
	Continued Undercharge Some designers specify an end of charge level too low in an attempt to prolong battery life. Continued undercharging of this type of battery can reduce cell life.
	Deep Discharge Some products, by design, can discharge the battery to unusually low levels which can affect cell life. The use of a low voltage cut-off will address this concern.
